Submission Information for Mums working from home...

Mostly for Mothers is collecting stories for a book discussing tips for mums working from home. Balancing motherhood and work all at home can be an immense challenge.

How can we balance motherhood, working and so much more?

No matter what you decide to do as a mum and how you earn your money and whether you have to work, being a mum is a tough job.

Have you learnt to fit a business of your own into your schedule?

Is it successful? Do you have tips you could share with others?

If yes, send in your stories...

The format of this book will potentially include a specific section on party plans or network marketing type businesses, it may also include specific sections for home businesses and web businesses. The purpose in the book is to encourage other women (mums) working out how to work from home or around children.

Submission call will remain open until a suitable range or stories is collected however the last call will be June 2010. Submit earlier rather than later as some decisions may be made in advance. Submissions will be accepted by email or by post. Authors whose submissions are selected for publication will receive a contract and must be able to supply an ABN. It is currently proposed that a shared royalties will be paid 6 monthly after publication between the authors and the editors. Total royalties to contributors is proposed to be at least the minimum suggested by ASA guidelines of royalties including the editors payments (However in this project no advance on royalties will be paid). Contributors will be able to purchase the book at a discounted rate and will receive one free copy per accepted contribution.

Check out our other publications to see the style of work we are interested in, most are available online, through bookstores or even at libraries. I hope you find our other publications also encouraging to you as a mum. If you have another idea for a book regarding mums see our submission guidelines.
